2025 Amateur Radio Exam in Bangladesh saw an unprecedented turnout, with more than 900 participants taking part in the examination organized by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). This historic event took place in Dhaka on May 9, 2025, and witnessed amateur radio enthusiasts from diverse regions across Bangladesh coming together with a shared passion for radio communication.
This history of invention is often a history recorded by those with the power to ensure it is recorded their way. It's unfortunate -- but true -- that over the years there have been many examples of those who have created the tools or the systems we use today, but whom you don't hear about. These folks are not always the lead story in the recorded history.
The camp for young amateur radio operators in North, Central, and South America will operate special event station WØY while camp is in session from June 15-20, 2025 in Thornton, Colorado, USA. The group will also contact the International Space Station; complete portable & mobile activations for Summits on the Air (SOTA), Parks on the Air (POTA), Buc-ee’s on the Air & from WWV; and livestream the ARISS contact & opening and closing ceremonies on YouTube.
