Not the greatest week but Friday and Saturday were pretty good. I managed PZ5RA, Suriname on Ten Metres FT8 but spent most time on 40m FT4. Friday and Saturday were huge but depending on where you are there was some DX to the rest of the world during the week. Best of the rest 4A90MIC (Mexico), FK8IK (New Caledonia), VK4BOB (Australia), VK6AS (Australia) and of course V51MA (Namibia)

Sun: Loads of sunspots, well at least 7. One has enough energy for M-class solar flares. Stoke beat Hull 0 – 2. Hull had a few good chances but no one took responsibility for the final shot. 3 good points for Stoke. This Saturday Fulham at Stoke. A tough one, they are top at the moment. I’ll be there if the trains run and the match is not cancelled! The England cricket team were a shambles, well the batting anyway. The Australians beat us no problem. They are not the greatest but we are the worst I’ve seen for a good while. Where is Geoff Boycott when you need him? (Sorry, "Sir” Geoffrey!) Now you can help Tony to compile his ten-metre report. Tell him about any stations you've heard on the 10-metre band in your part of the world, or tell him if you've also found the band to be dead. Use the form in the pop-up window to record the details of any stations that you have heard during this week. • Click here to send Tony your report |
