With the announcement a few days ago that J88BTI activity is coming to an end, and operator Franco is heading to patures new, we now have first hand info where that will be.
Franco will be active from Montserrat for up to year starting around the end of September. He has been issued with the callsign VP2MAA, and similar to his J88BTI / J8AA activities, he will participate in all major contests.
The new station, says Franco, will be inproved in terms of equipment, with a beam mounted at a significant height and better antennas for the low bands, together with a power amplifier that will arrive around Christmas time.
More info including QSL design to follow in due course. QSL manager for VP2MAA will be IK2DUW.
