My test procedure for the UV13Pro battery eliminator that I bought on AliExpress. I tested with a 13.8 volt supply input and saw 8.3 volts at the terminals to the radio. After this test I cracked open the device to find a fairly hefty regulator outputting 8.3 volts to a toroid inductor and electrolytic capacitor filter. The device includes an inline fuse. The radio draws 1.4 amps on two meters and 1.2 amps on 70cm. With the battery eliminator, output is 7.9 watts FM at 144 MHz (for ARPS) and 5.4 watts at 444 MHZ (analog repeater.)
