After a long journey of 40 days at sea, our large equipment has finally reached Papeete, Tahiti. We’re currently working through customs clearance before the equipment heads back to sea for another 6-day journey to Hiva Oa, with an expected arrival in the Marquesas by mid-December. In the meantime, our team is finalizing the stations with everything we need: transceivers, amplifiers, computers, and the EME station. The first team will arrive on January 3, 2025 to start setting up antennas and completing our deployment. A huge thank you to everyone following and supporting us on this adventure!
- [NOVEMBER 14] –
Last weekend, most of the TX7N team gathered for a final meeting before the big departure! It was the perfect moment to fine-tune all the details of this major expedition: receiving and distributing equipment generously provided by our sponsors, organizing luggage, finalizing flights, setting up antennas, updating IT systems, testing equipment, and even soldering PL connectors! We also held a video conference with our on-site host, Tania, who is ensuring everything is ready for our arrival to make this expedition run as smoothly as possible. A huge thank you to everyone supporting this adventure! We can’t wait to share our first live contacts from the Marquesas with you!
