LU9DCE had a good start to the week as top DX and top spotter again. Then he disappeared for the rest of the week. There did seem to be plenty of South American stations about, LUs (Argentina), PYs (Brazil), CEs (Chile), CXs (Uruguay), with the ZS (South Africa) and XE (Mexico) thrown in. XR500M was a special station in Chile, celebrating 500th Anniversary of the discovery of the Strait of Magellan and First Circumnavigation (of the globe).

Sun: No spots now for 10 days. Stoke beat Aston Villa 0 – 1 in the EFL cup and then drew with Birmingham 1 – 1 at the weekend. The amazing thing was that Villa went on to beat Liverpool 7 – 2 at the weekend. Also Manchester United got smacked by Spurs 1 – 6 at old Trafford, shame! Now it’s an international break.
