This week, which runs from 04:00 UTC (06:00 CAT) on Sunday 14 November to 16:00 UTC (18:00 CAT) on Saturday 20 November, is exclusively geared towards the new guys coming up in the ranks and will be comfortable, with a minimum requirement of 8 wpm and not exceeding 12 wpm.
The idea is to make as many contacts as you can within a 7 day calendar period, the goal is to log all contacts on the RaDAR Sport Log, proudly developed by Eddie, ZS6BNE www.radarops.co.za/zsportal. You will need a login PIN, which Eddie will gladly send you, in order to take part.
CW must be sent using any paddle or any straight key, nothing more than 12 wpm character speed or slower, to qualify to participate. You will need to declare in the comments column on the logging system what kind of key you used. The Radar system self generates the points. Encourage your friends to make use of the online logging system.
Bands permissible during the activity are 40, 20 and 80 m. You may not work the same call sign more than ONCE on each band. Each day you start afresh, you can re-work the same amateurs you did the previous day. The exchange will be the standard CW formal exchange, so long as it is a real contact, your contact may also move into a full blown QSO if you like
