Renato, PY8WW announces that he will be active during the IOTA Contest 2025 from Bailique Archipelago, located off the coast of Amapá State, northern Brazil. This group is part of IOTA SA-045.
He mentions that operations will take place from one of the islands in the Bailique group, approximately 6 hours by boat from the nearest city, Macapá. The island is remote and features a mix of tropical vegetation, riverine communities, and access limited to small vessels navigating the Amazon River delta. Due to its geographic location and difficult access, this IOTA reference remains rare on the air.
During the contest, he will be using the callsign PX8Z on multiple bands, CW and SSB. QSL via my home callsign, PY8WW.
