All antennas must be physically connected (cabled) to the transmitters and receivers used by the competitor. Only one call sign may be used for scoring. Categories: 1. Single Operator - All Bands. Only one signal may be transmitted at any time, competitor may change bands at any time. 2. Single Operator - One Band. Only one signal at any time. 3. Single Operator - All Bands, QRP. Output power not exceeding 10 watts. No location restrictions (field or home). 4. Hilltopper. Single Operator - QRP, portable. Output power not exceeding 10 watts, all bands, scoring time - 6 hours (continuous). No power source restrictions. 5. Rover. A two-operator station that will operate from more than one QTH locator square during the contest. One callsign with the identifier /R (Rover) is used. 6. Multi-operator. Two or more operators who can operate on two bands simultaneously, but have only one signal on each band. In all categories except ROVER and QRP Hilltopper, stations may have any location (fixed or field), but must not change it during the test. All entrants are prohibited from transmitting on 146.52 MHz, or on frequencies that are VHF FM calling frequencies in their country, or on repeater frequencies. They must refrain from making contacts within their country in the DX window 50.100-50.125 MHz. They must also refrain from making contacts on the SSB calling frequencies 50.110 MHz, 50.125 MHz and 144.200 MHz. A station located exactly on the boundary between two QTH locators must select one, the designation of which will be used in the exchange. The other locator may be transmitted only if the station has moved at least 100 meters. | | Exchange: | The control number is the call sign and the QTH locator square (4 characters, for example EM15).
