• [160M INFO] –

4S7SPG team report that tonight (February 22 local) they will try for the first time 160m FT8. They say, if it works, in the next days ahead they will also operate on CW. Plan is to alternate between 80m and 160m in coming days as the antenna system requires switching wires.

  • [FEBRUARY 19] –

All operators are 50% operational. We caught some virus on the plane or from the air conditioner. Fortunately, we installed all the antennas. However, currently the work is mostly limited to FT8.

  • [FEBRUARY 18] –

Approaching 8K QSOs, the team recently put some pictures of their activity on QRZ.com. They are re-posted here with thanks to them. Remember to visit their own website for more info.

SP3CFM, SP6EQZ, SP6JIU and SP9FIH will be active from Sri Lanka as 4S7SPG during February 17 to March 1, 2025. QRV on 80-10m; CW, SSB, FT8 & RTTY. QSL via SP6CIK. More details here.

We plan to stay in the house close to Nilaveli Beach, located on North-East coast of Sri Lanka. We hope that our vertical antennas will work good due to the proximity of salt water in the Indian Ocean.
