Alex, K6VHF reports the 30m antenna is now up at FW5K. 80m-6m bands are now covered. 160m antenna will be installed soon, possibly 60m too. Now over 4000 QSOs in the log.

[OCTOBER 18 @ 0445Z] –
Earlier than planned, FW5K started operations at 0445z on 17m FT8. More bands to follow.
[OCTOBER 14] –
Shipping day is upcoming very quickly. What are we shipping? We’re shipping ourselves to Wallis Island! The Oregon team is packed and ready to go. The Arizona team is also ready to go. On Thursday, October 16th, both teams will arrive in Dallas, with a layover then on to Fiji.

ACOM have been a real good support to quite a few DXpeditions over the past two years. FW5K is no different — 3 x ACOM 500S amplifiers will be used during the upcoming Wallis & Futuna DXpedition. Check out ACOM’s DXpedition support map below to see who else has benefited from using their amps.

The DX Obsessed Group (DXO) consisting of K6VHF, KA6BIM, W7HAN, NG7E, NJ7I & NC7M will be active from Wallis & Futuna as FW5K during October 20 to November 7, 2025.
QRV before, during and after the CQWW SSB contest (M2/HP category). Activity to include CW, Digi including RTTY, FT4 & FT8 and SSB. Bands: 160-6m running a minimum of 3 stations with amplifiers into Hex-type and vertical antennas. Team will announce their operating frequencies on the DXObsessed web pages soon.
Many of the group operated in Vanuatu as YJ0TT logging over 40k QSO for their first outing as a group. Having worked out some kinks, they have set a goal at 50k QSOs this time.
